What’s In It for Artists?

Exposure to over 30,000 visitors, all with an interest in art and wanting to purchase.

A  unique one-off opportunity to gain valuable exposure and show alongside some of the North’s biggest names in contemporary art.  Previous exhibitors have included: Ian Burke, Rob Shaw, Katrine Furness, Emerson Mays, Lottie Mcateer and Susan Dugdale.

Art for Youth North is one of two art exhibitions held in the UK to raise funds for UK Youth.  Art for Youth London is held annually in December at the Mall Galleries.

The exhibition gives tremendous encouragement and opportunity to artists in the region whose “gallery fee” of 33% from art sold is donated instead to the charity. Some artists very generously fully-donate the entire sale to UK Youth – for this we are very grateful.

A maximum price for work submitted is £4000.

Mystery Postcards

An opportunity to buy a mini masterpiece. These postcard sized original paintings and photographs are very generously donated and sold as ‘artist unknown’.

Artists prepared to donate a mystery picture will be sent a pack including paper for their work. Names are only written on the back and kept a closely guarded secret.

Each postcard sells for £40 but the artist’s identity will only be revealed after the picture is bought and all proceeds from Mystery Picture sales go to the charity.

If you are exhibiting and would be prepared to kindly donate a mystery picture please indicate this on the Artist’s Registration form. For more detailed information on the Mystery pictures click on Mystery Pictures page on the left.

If you are unable to exhibit any other work this year, but would still be happy to send in a mystery picture, please complete the Mystery Picture form on the Mystery Picture page.
